How to prepare for your treatment?
Avoid sun exposure and self-tanner for at least two weeks, pause retinoids and exfoliating acids for about a week, and arrive with clean, product-free skin. Mention any cold sore history so we can recommend antivirals.
What to do after your treatment?
Expect redness and a mild sunburn sensation for a day or two, sometimes with light flaking as the skin renews. Use gentle cleanser and moisturiser only, avoid heat, sweating, and active ingredients for several days, and wear SPF daily — sun protection directly determines how well pigment results hold.
