Is there any downtime?

Typically there is little to no downtime with the Viva Diamond Polar treatment, however some patients feel more comfortable taking a few days of social downtime in order to allow for some of the redness and swelling to heal.

Does it hurt?

This procedure is very comfortable, takes very little time and requires no anaesthetic cream. Your laser technician will apply a thin layer of gel in order to allow the applicator to move easily across your skin.

You can expect to feel tolerable heat and some prickling on your skin, but if at any point in the procedure you feel uncomfortable your provider will be able to adjust the applicator settings in order to match it to your comfort levels.

We recommend that you discontinue use of any anti-inflammatories (i.e. ibuprofen) one week prior to and for one week following treatment. The mild swelling you will experience post treatment actually stimulates the production of collagen and elastin in your body.

Am I a good candidate for skin tightening treatments?
